This summer, with your support, Valley Settlement proudly led the initiative to build a fabulous KaBOOM! playground in El Jebel. Despite the terrible wildfire that disrupted and threatened life in the valley for most of July, one hundred and seventy volunteers and countless organizations and businesses came out to build the new “June Community Park” in just one day. The partnership between Eagle County, the Colorado Health Foundation, and Crawford Properties made this community effort a memorable success. We are so grateful for your generosity and kindness in coming out to support the families of El Jebel, giving them a beautiful space to play outdoors for adults and children alike.

Now, Autumn has arrived, and with it, the start of the program year for Valley Settlement. Your support means that 96 preschoolers are enrolled in El Busesito Preschool, 100 adults are attending Lifelong Learning classes, and 60 Parent Mentors are settling into their roles as teachers’ assistants in the elementary schools. Learning with Love is completely enrolled with 48 infants/toddlers and their caregivers, who are growing and learning together.

As we launch into our seventh program year, we THANK YOU for continuing to support the work that empowers immigrant families and cultivates new leaders in the Roaring Fork Valley. With you, we are on our way to another year of learning, achievement, growth, and community integration.
