Reflecting With Gratitude On 2025
This year, we are pausing to reflect with gratitude on what our community has made possible. We are thankful to everyone who gave in support of our work in 2025. Together, we showed up for families in times of struggle and times of hope. Together, we ensured children had access to high-quality early education, and parents could grow the connections, confidence, and skills needed to support their families. Together, we created opportunities for families to build community and cultivate a sense of belonging.
Your support is so much more than just a gift; it is a commitment to creating, growing, and sustaining this meaningful work alongside families. If you haven’t yet given this year, there’s still time to join this community effort. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference, and giving is quick and easy; just click the button below to donate online.
From us to you, thank you for being part of our community and for investing in families’ futures.
Strengthening Our Impact – Bringing Alma into Learning with Love
Field Trips
This fall, program teams created opportunities for families to come together, build relationships, and connect through shared experiences. In October, the Learning with Love team kicked off the first field trip of the 2025-26 year with a visit to the ACES Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt. Families from all cohorts, from Basalt to New Castle, came together for this special outing, creating a great opportunity to connect across groups. On a beautiful, sunny day, families walked the ranch trails, explored the farm, visited the chickens and bunny rabbits, and enjoyed a picnic surrounded by nature.
One of the highlights was seeing full family engagement- moms, dads, and grandparents all joined in alongside children, making it a joyful, whole-family experience.
Family Nights
Family Nights continue to be another important way we strengthen relationships and support early learning. During El Busesito Preschool’s second Family Night of the year, teachers organized hands-on arts and crafts activities inspired by the featured book of the evening, Eric Carle’s Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, creating opportunities for families to socialize, collaborate, and reinforce early literacy skills through storytelling, creativity, play, and conversation.
These gatherings are meaningful for our programs, as they offer a welcoming space for families to connect with one another, while highlighting the vital role parents and caregivers play in their children’s education.
Colorado Gives Day, 2025

Thank you to everyone who came out to give where you live on Colorado Gives Day last week! This annual day of generosity brings communities across the state together to support the causes they care about most, and we are grateful to be part of this powerful movement. Because of your generosity, more than $13,900 was raised in support of the families and children who participate in Valley Settlement programs. Thank you!
